Tokyo bar Benfiddich, which he owns, is ranked number 32 in the world and number nine in Asia. Kayama is himself famed as “Japan’s greatest bartender”.
“I prepared all these cocktails ahead of time,” said Hiroyasu in an interview.
What is his secret to getting to the top of the list as one of the world’s best?
“My cocktails, just like where I come from are very specific. I believe I bring expertise in mixology. For my stay in the country, I will feature creative dishes, cocktails and desserts as an accompaniment for my cocktails,” he said.

We are excited to host Kayama, a bartender at the top of his game and globally recognized for his farm to bar approach to a cocktails,” said Richie Barrow, General Manager Food and Beverage for Tribe Hotels Group.
